Black Cats inflict heavy defeat

Newton Aycliffe's high-profile pre-season clash with Premier League side Sunderland ended in a heavy defeat, as Kevin Ball's young side ran out 6-1 winners.

The scoreline was harsh on the Newtonians, who had produced a very good first half performance.

But five second half goals - three in the space of a devastating four minute spell - saw Aycliffe well beaten.
