Bucket Collection raises over £90

The Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research benefitted from the club's recent bumper crowd against Sunderland as their bucket collectors came out in force to raise nearly £100.

Led by Karen Everson and Jaime Hume, the charity have held several events over the past 18 months, including a similar collection at Moore Lane Park last year when the Newtonians hosted Darlington.

Karen said, "We're greatful to the club for their help. We appreciate that they have their own fundraising initiatives to support but to allow us this collection on what was such a big night for both the town, and the club, is testament to Newton Aycliffe FC and all involved.

The next major event for the group is a charity Zumbathon to be held at Greenfield School on Sunday August 5th, between 10am and midday.
