Allan Oliver's side welcome fellow strugglers Billingham Town to Moore Lane Park today (Saturday September 29) in a huge clash at the foot of the table.
The Royal Blues are bottom of the table with just one win in their nine fixtures, while the visitors are ahead only on goal difference.
Billingham Town are managed by Carl Jarrett, who is in his third season at the club. The club are struggling with just one win from their eight games, which came at home against Guisborough last weekend. Striker Jamie Owens turned down the chance of joining Darlington recently and poses a huge threat in attack.
Northern League Division One. The Newtonians had hoped to be off the bottom of the table with a win over Penrith on Wednesday night, but the torrential rain forced a postponement. It leaves today's game as a vital clash, even at this early stage.
