Newton Aycliffe welcome Billingham Synthonia to Moore Lane Park, as they look to move off the bottom of the table.
WHO
Billingham Synthonia travel to Moore Lane Park, looking to avenge last year's league defeat. The Synners were beaten 2-1 at Aycliffe last season, but recorded a thumping 7-2 victory in the FA Cup earlier on in the campaign against the Newtonians. The hat-trick hero that day was Danny Earl, who lines up for Aycliffe against his former club. Nathan Wilson is in the same situation, after joining the Stockton outfit from the Royal Blues last month.
The Synners have the best away record in the division outside of the top two, after four wins and a draw from their seven trips. In midweek they were beaten at home by Guisborough, but won at West Auckland 4-2 last weekend, in a game which saw four red cards.
WHAT
Ebac Northern League first division. Aycliffe are bottom of the table with one win from 13 league games this season. Allan Oliver's side are two points adrift of 23rd place Billingham Town and five points away from teams outside the relegation zone. Synners are up in fourth, but have played more games than any other club in the league. Synners are 20 points behind league-leaders Darlington.
WHERE
Moore Lane Park, Newton Aycliffe Sports Club, DL5 5AG. Admission is £5 adults, £3 concessions and free for under-12s, providing they have a pass and are accompanied by a paying adult. Passes have been handed out to schools, could be cut out of last weekend's Newton News and are available in the Sports Club before the game.
WHEN
Saturday October 20 kick-off 3pm. Gates open 1pm.
PROGRAMME
