Lennon the featured player

Dan Lennon is hoping to establish himself at Aycliffe after recovering from a series of niggling injuries.

The 24-year-old striker, signed from Bishop Auckland last October, is the featured player in Aycliffe’s programme for the visit of Jarrow Roofing at Moore Lane Park tomorrow.

“I’ve not been 100% match fit since I joined the club,” revealed Lennon. “I want to be involved as much as I can so the aim for me personally is just to establish myself in the side and play as many games as possible.

“I tore a muscle in my thigh last year and I’ve struggled with a few niggling injuries as a result of that so I’ve not been at it for a while, but hopefully that’s now all behind me and I can hopefully get in the side regularly and show my potential.”
