Horrible weather bred a horrible second half for Aycliffe which also saw a horrible injury sustained by Wayne Hall.
Thankfully, fears of a broken leg have been reduced to a severley bruised one following X-Rays.
It wasn't all bad for the team in blue though who went in at half time three goals to the good.
Paul Broom and Dion Raitt scored in quick succession either side of the half hour mark and Sean Tarling's first of the season, a Goal of the Season contender seemingly put Allan Oliver's men in total control.
However, following Hall's injury early in the second half, the visitors grabbed control of the game and never let go.
Skipper Martin Butterworth got the comeback underway on 65 minutes before Stephen Holliday set up a grandstand finish 10 minutes later.
Aycliffe couldn't hold out and a rare Ste Richardson handling error saw Carl Chillingsworth presented with the chance to equalise after 79 minutes, one he couldn't miss.
Richardson made up for his error saving at the feet of Richard Thompason in the last minute.
But Oliver will definately feel it was two points dropped as opposed to one saved and will quickly move on to the visit of former employers, West Auckland on Wednesday night as cup action takes centre stage.
