Andrew Nelson signs for Aycliffe

Newton Aycliffe FC are thrilled to announce the signing of striker Andrew Nelson, a highly experienced forward with a strong pedigree in both English and Scottish football. 

Starting his career at Sunderland, Nelson has since played for a number of clubs, including Hartlepool United, Harrogate Town, Falkirk, and Darlington. He also spent time at Dundee in the Scottish Premiership, where he scored on his debut, before returning to Darlington in 2021. 

Throughout his career, Nelson has impressed with his goal-scoring ability and versatility, making a significant impact in both league and cup competitions. The signing of Nelson adds both depth and quality to the squad as Newton Aycliffe continue their push for success this season. With his proven track record, especially his strong performances at Darlington, he brings valuable experience to the team. Andrew will be eligible for this week’s FA Trophy game at Home to Blyth Town: 3pm Kick Off.
