Aycliffe Progress in Isuzu FA Trophy

Newton Aycliffe progressed to the Second Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA trophy with a 3-0 home win against Blyth Town.

Goals from Andrew Nelson (2) and Louis Burns secured the win.

The draw for the next round is expected on Monday with the game due to take place on Saturday 20 September.

As a result our away game at Garforth Town will need to be rearranged. A new date for that game will be announced in due course.

Aycliffe return to cup action on Wednesday 10 September when they visit Crook Town in the Frank Pattison Durham Challenge Cup.

The next league game is Saturday 13 September when Blyth Town will once again be the visitors to Moore Lane.
