FA Competition Draws Announced
Home draws in FA Cup and FA Trophy
The FA have announced the draws for the early rounds of the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Trophy. Newton Aycliffe have home ties in both competitions.
Due to our sixth place finish in the league last season we are exempt from the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. We will join the competition in the Preliminary Round which is scheduled to be played on Saturday 16 August. We will welcome either North Shields or Newcastle Blue Star. They are due to play their Extra Preliminary Round tie on Saturday 2 August.
The draw has also been made for the Isuzu FA Trophy, We have an exemption from the Preliminary Round so join the competition at the First Qualifying Round. This is due to be played on Saturday 6 September when Blyth Town will be the visitors to the Ashcourt Stadium.
