Hope arrives in Aycliffe

Newton Aycliffe FC are delighted to welcome Joey Hope who played for West Auckland AFC last season.

Joey, a promising young defender, signed a pro contract with Grimsby Town before going out on loan to Cleethorpes Town in 2020.

Joey has had spells at Darlington, Guisborough, Northallerton and Marske.

The 22 year old said he was attracted to sign for Newton Aycliffe FC as he knew Brian had been trying to sign him for some time. Joey was also impressed with Aycliffe's placing in the NPL since we were promoted from the Northern League.
