NEW SIGNING | WELCOME JAKE ORRELL

Newton Aycliffe are delighted to announce the signing of Jake Orrell, who joins the club from Ashington.

Jake brings with him a strong footballing pedigree and a wealth of experience across the non-league and professional game. As a youngster he came through the Sunderland Academy, before moving on to Gateshead and later earning a contract at Chesterfield, where he made two first-team appearances. His career has also included spells with Matlock Town (loan), Hartlepool United, Spennymoor Town, Newcastle Benfield, Blyth Spartans and Consett, where he made an immediate impact and featured regularly.

Known for his creativity, work rate and technical ability, Jake has built a reputation as an exciting attacking player capable of influencing games at this level and above.

We’re thrilled to welcome Jake to Moore Lane and look forward to seeing him in an Aycliffe shirt.
