New Signing - Matty Slocombe
Midfielder joins from Blyth Spartans
Newton Aycliffe FC is pleased to announce the signing of Matty Slocombe who joins us from Blyth Spartans.
Matty is an experienced central midfielder having made over 400 appearances for Consett, scoring 23 goals. He captained Consett to the 2019/2020 FA Vase final at Wembley, and was a key figure and leader for several seasons.
Combined with his time at Blyth Spartans, he arrives with proven quality, leadership, and a brilliant attitude that fits perfectly with what the management team are building.
Aycliffe manager Brian Atkinson said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Matty has agreed to join us. He’s a versatile player whose experience at this level will add real depth, drive, and composure to the squad as we push on this season.”
